July 4th at the beach only it was June 27th……

So Friday after work I went to a co-workers house and it turns out that she lives on a beach. Literally on a beach. I mean these houses all have stilts under them and all the ones on the front row the stilts are in the water. When high tide comes in it runs under the houses and into the street over to my friend’s house. She lives on the second row but she has all beach view and nothing but ocean for ever. Her cottage is white with a blue porch and yellow front door. The other cottages are different colors too. Very beach like. So we get there and they are sitting on the sand setting up and it was very nice. We have a few drinks and eat pizza. After pizza she was like well lets walk down here and watch the fire works from the main beach. It was only 3 cottages down. The beach was huge and really clean. All the people that live there have tables and chairs out. You see when you live at the beach it all stays out and no one takes your stuff. This is a private area only for home owners…. Yeah I meet some of those people. So we start to watch fire works and Oscar is like what are these fireworks for? The people are all telling us it is for 4th of July.
WTF! It is only June 27th.
So I will not tell you what was said after we found out that CT is messed up that they change their holidays so they can make more money. Yeah that is right. Here in CT each little town has their own holiday. So when you go to one town you stay there eat at their dinners and spend money in their town. Then you will do the same thing in the other towns. It is all about money here… Not independence!
So look at my beach cottage. This is not her cottage. But it will give you somewhat of an idea.

Shoes

I know that you people can relate to me when I tell you that I lost some of my favorite pair of sexy momma shoes. Or my daughter lost my shoes. You see I have this kids that is all about playing dress up with my stuff. So she comes home almost daily and changes her cloths and grabs some of my shoes and heads to the dining room and proceeds to act like a teacher. She has books galore, papers, pencils, pens, markers and even a cup of water for her to sip on while she teaches. In her hands she carries a clip board with a list of names and beside the names she has check marks of who is listening or not. While I hide next door in my room acting like I am not listening to her, she will talk to invisible people and yell and keep going like a real teacher. I am sure the neighbors think we have actual class going on daily at my house. That is how good she is here. Now keep in mind she usually wears a skirt, tank top that is bright with hearts on it or butterflies, my 4 inch heels and they are shinny black back strap with a little open toe in them and her hair up with a pencil in it somewhere. So is this what teachers look like? They did not when I was in school. Anyway today I am getting ready and I only have 2 minutes to get my cloths and shoes on and head out the door. I got my cloths on and what do you know my shoes are not where they should be. I yell I my daughter and she say’s mom I put them back I swear…… NOT! They were not there at all. So I looked all over my house up stairs, down stairs, in the basement, the patio room and even went outside. No shoes…. I can’t find them. At this point my husband roles out of bed and comes with a different pair of shoes. “Honey will these work?” No! I want the shinny ones. We all look and no shoes. So I had to wear the wrong shoes. My husband is like honey those are hot they are sexier than all your other shoes and they look better…. See he is sucking up. So for those of you who don’t know me, shoes mean a lot to me and I have a ton of them. I have shoes for every outfit and some with no cloths yet to match. But they will have cloths to match soon. So when I am missing a pair of shoes you better believe I will be in a bad mood. Now I know that mom was not crazy when she got ready in the morning.

We did NYC!

So I can't figure this damn thing out. But this is at the very end of our trip. Also all the rest of out pictures are all on here backwards. So this is us on the train ride home. We look good for just taking a trip.

Here we are going back through grand central station to get to the train on time. I must tell you that we got across town and rode a sub then a trolley then made it to the train in under 5 minutes. So you can go anywhere in NYC not time flat under ground.

Before I headed back to the train my Girl friend and I found beer..... We needed one after all that walking we did.

So the beer was at this place and man I look fat.... I guess I don't need beer.

Okay no idea what the hell was going on that day but if you look closely you can see that everyone is blowing bubbles. They closed a street down to blow damn bubbles! So must have been who can blow the most bubbles at one time?

Here we are under Sean Jean... Don't we look so hot compared to that man. Well we do.

No this is where the trip got good. I mean chocolaty good. Behind us is Hershey's and man they have whatever kind of chocolate that you could dream about here. The smell alone adds 5 pounds see.......

So well have to eat. We took my girl friend out to lunch and it was really good. We had corned beef hamburgers..... YUM!

Okay so this is what NYC looks like you see all these damn people. I must tell you though it was some of the best people watching that I have ever done. You will learn fast that I am huge people watcher and could do it all day long everyday.

So I think I have doubles......

FYI m&m's are some of my favorite things and there in time square they have them dancing on large TV's. They make faces at you and they talk to you. I just loved them.

Now this is the middle of time square. So you know what it looks like.

While we were there we had to stop at toys R us and get the kids some toys so this is the man as he is on mission to the barbie house. This place was so amazing the inside and it even has a Farris wheel. I just loved it.

Okay people explain to me why there would be a bunch of people doing Yoga of all things in the damn middle of time square? You see this? You would never see me doing this and in front of a million people...... NO!

This is the show that I grew up on. Good morning America. I watch it still and my mom and I talk about it like it is a soap show.....

This is under Madison square garden. It is the Subway. Very nice huh? I thought so and it was just amazing how you can have a city under a city and have like 4 stories of city under that. I liked it.

This would be my first Subway ride ever.....

This is ground zero. So far this is all that has been done and that is all I am going to say.

So this is the Man and I at Grand Central Station. We had just begun our wonderful trip into NYC. It was not until I was talking to me very best Friend when she was telling me about a horror story of someone telling her she look PG. So that is when I took notice that my shirt does the same thing for me...... See......

I have that feeling that I will be embarking on a new adventure soon. I don't really know what yet. But I feel like it is coming. Maybe if I am right it will all come before Sept. that way I can enroll my child in her new school. I don't want her to miss any more school that she needs to. So as I sit here and feel like this I just wonder if it is going to be exciting? Will we like it? Where will we go? When we will go? Man I could go on all day. So it would be really nice to know something soon. I can hardly wait to hear something. But something is coming.......

My weekend in a few words.

Good morning people,
So let me tell you that I was really damn busy all weekend. Lets start with Friday. Friday I called in. Yeah we all do it admit it. So I did and I cleaned the house. After I was all done my husband called. He said hey find someone to watch the kids and we will go have a drink after he gets out of work. Hell yeah! We have not gone out just the 2 of us since moving here. That was 7 months ago. My husband and I used to go out more often. So in a hurry I found someone to get Sissy off the bus and Bubba did not need to be picked up until 6. That gave us 3 hours of no kids. Off we went to this place here called Stonebridge. It was a very nice place and had great service. We both had 3 drinks and a salad. I must tell you this was the best salad I have ever had. It was a crab cake over caser salad. Man it was just amazing. The flavor was to die for. So I will be going back for that salad. After the salad and drinks we invited a few people over to have some more drinks with us. Nothing serious, just hanging out having adult conversations and drinks. We also have not had adults over at all. So we found 2 couples. They came and we like them we all get along. There was just one problem. They all left at 9. Hello people. We don’t just leave at 9 when you are older than 21 having free drinks and food…. Oh they did.
My husband decided then that this is not for us and we will not have anymore people over at all. East coast people can’t hang.

Saturday we woke up early and hit the gym We do this every morning on the weekends. Also after work you will find us at the gym. So after the gym we came home and my husband fixed a friends car. Well we have to say that these people know nothing about cars and completely did not help out that well. You know you have man fixing something you should at least be a good tool guy and get the tools and clean up while the other works. No that did not happen at all. The tool guy spilled oil over my driveway and then spilled trany fluid all over and in my yard. SO now I have gross stuff in the yard and driveway. Did I mention that I have 2 kids…..
It only got worse that day I promise.

Sunday was fathers day. So we packed up and went to the lake. It is a really nice lake here but here in CT you have to be a resident of that town to d o just about anything. If your not a resident you have to go to city hall or the town hall and get a pass that you have to pay for and you have to talk to a judge about why you want to visit their crappy places. I am not lying here. So there was one place on the whole 38 mile lake that is public. It was not that nice. I have been to a lot of lake growing up in the Oklahoma area and I tell you this does not make the list at all. However it worked and we made the best of it. I will post pics for you this week.
So I have to get back to work now.

my friend

Today my very best friend is moving into a house. Her own real house. No more renting or leasing. Just ownership for them. This is a huge deal and I could not be more excited. To me it feels like I am moving too. You see when each of do things like look at homes or even go shopping we each think of each other. Hum I wonder what she would think of this? This is what we do. So when it comes to a house we each take a ton of pictures and we draw a layout and we get each others opinion on a lot of things. It is nice really. We just know each that well. We each know what we like and don't. For example one time a few years ago we each had military husbands. They both were out to sea at that time. Well she lived across the US and I lived in in San Diego. She was getting ready to move to SD. Well she had not place so I went and found her a condo. It was very nice and it was her. Everything that she could find in a short period. I even paid the lady for her. So when she got there she would have a place for her and her family. It was a great place to tie them over until they got into housing. This is how best Friend that never see each work. As you get to know me you will find out that my best Friend and I work better across the states......

Hump day

Today I had to park in the ghetto. So here is hoping I will have a car left when I get out of here or my car won't be beat up that bad when I leave today. Being that today is hump day I did not dress that great and I wore tennis shoes to work. With me doing that it ables me to park closer to my job. For those that don't know I work in a hospital in the ghetto here in CT. Yes we have a ghetto. It is here at my work. So I parked closer and wearing tennis shoes helps me when I have to run to save my life.... Yes it is that bad. I swear it is. But this hospital I work at strives on saving the poor and needy people. So we are here to make sure the ghetto stays alive.....
Strange!
Well that is all I have to tell you on a hump day. At the end of the week I will tell more.

So yesterday was a very hot day at 102. A lot of schools here had to let out early as they don't have AC. Okay first of all I thought only places that it did not get that hot had no AC. Like wonderful San Diego. I can see why they don't have it at most places. But to not have AC here in CT? That is just crazy to me. So as they don't have the good stuff here and it does get hot as hell here and the humidity is more than 85% they just send the kids home early and cancel all after school programs and camps. That means that we have to take off and get the kids. It uses a lot of vaca time. Like in the winter they had cancelled school and half days a lot. So I used a lot of my hours for that crap. So I don't know how to save time if I always have to use it for half days and so on. Well today is no different people. My daughter and you all can call her Sissy, I have to go home early again being that today is going to be even hotter and the humidity will be way too high to stay at school. With that being said we will be at the pool. I have this friend here and she is a nice. They have a nice house with a pool. She has 3 boys so my son will have a blast. Sissy really does not care if they are boys just as long as she can swim. So that is where I will be at 1:30 today while you all work. Hope you have fun.....
AAhhh.... I can see it now. I will be floating in the water or sitting pool side having a great conversation while my kids have a great time. Her husband who is a really nice guy will more than likely serve us pool side as he has been doing. I know it will be good. I will try to think of you all while I lay there....

What a weekend.

Okay people,
I made it. I now am in and you all can read about me. If it was not for my best friend Hopeforgrace I would never be here. However she has been very insistent. So because she loves me so much she went and made me this page. I must say though she totally gets me. It fits me perfect. It is like she is in my mind. But I get her the same way. So that is how we work. So thank you very much Hopeforgrace….
Well this last weekend was different. We recently moved to Connecticut from San Diego. You will get to know me soon enough that yes we are crazy for making that move. However since being here we have not made any friends or anything. The people here are not our cup of tea. So as we try to make the best of things we went to a BBQ/pool party. It was nice she had all the food you could imagine and every kind of alcohol that you would want. Yes we drink and I love it. No I am not an alcoholic. I just like to drink beer and have a good time. So we get ready to go swimming being that it was finally the hottest day here since being here…98 that day. So off to her pool and it looked so inviting. Man was I wrong, that water was freezing it took one quick dip and out faster than I got in. I just sat there all wrapped up like a damn Eskimo. That is when I noticed that the kids that were in there all had blue lips. OMG! Get their moms tell them that their kids will need CPR if they let them stay… Oh man some listened and some did not. The ones that did not I swear the kids were laid out on the ground before too long trying to thaw. I warned them all. Anyway I just wonder now if their kids are sick because my son Bubba is sick today…. Couldn’t be from freezing to death water?
Anyway Sunday was about the same except it was a different house different people and the water in this pool was warmer. So the kids hopped right in. Not even 10 minutes later thunder…. WTF! It was 100 out and now thunder. This was not in the forecast people. Get them out wrap them up and get under the tent to get them out of the direct sun. Not even 5 minutes goes by and lighting was crashing down. It was all I could go to grab my stuff get us all in the middle if this huge circus tent and make sure we did not get struck or drenched. The rain came down really hard. It was just strange. There was about 25-30 of us all huddled in the middle of this tent trying to stay dry. I did not know one of these people. So after the rain let up the sun came back out and off we went. I did not want to stay any longer…. So home bound we went. It was nice too.
So that was the quick version of my weekend. I hope you can see that shit happens to everyone. Yes I curs too……..
