Our wonderful family. We wish you the best during the holidays.
So this week has been a really long week. It all started Saturday night. Mu husbands mom got put in the ICU in OKC (Oklahoma City). So I had to call the red cross to get the man home so we could go see Mama. Well that all happened really fast. We left CT Sunday in the afternoon and arrived to OKC in the evening. On Tuesday afternoon Mama went to Heaven. She had a great life and lived as good as she could. She will be missed dearly. We love you Mama.
So on Wed. we decided that while we are here we should celebrate her life and get everyone together. That called for grocery shopping and food preparing. So my mom and I hit the store and the kitchen to make a feast. Thursday which was Thanksgiving we had a huge feast with all the family here. It was so nice. One of the best ones I have been to years. I loved it. After super we drove down the street to see more family and we took a ton of pics. It was so nice to see people. Some of these people I have not seen in 10yrs or more. Just a blessing to have them all here in the area for me and my family to see and for each one of them to finally get to meet each other. Just wonderful stuff going on.
So today is black Friday..... don't you know I was up and out at 4 today to get in line. Yep... I know I am out of town and about 900 miles away from home but I sure did hit the store. I did not get what I was going for but I did get my kids a bunch of movies that were only $2.00. Great deal people and I got to people watch. I loved it. It was nice. I was all done and back home by 5:30am. Also on the list for today would be to take Grandpa out, go to Brick town, buy Sissy her birthday stuff as tomorrow is Sissy's birthday, get the kids as they stayed at my sisters house, visit with more family, wash cloths, pack, go through more of Mama's stuff and this list could go on. I just don't have enough time to do all that I need to while I am here. So in Feb. I will have to come back for 2 weeks to get the rest done. I tell you people just too much going on. So as I mentioned Sissy's birthday is Saturday so we celebrated it Thursday on Thanksgiving. While all the family was here. Besides Sat... we will be in the air.
So as you can see this has been a very long and busy week. This was just a fast run down. This could be longer but I want you all to see some new pics.

This is my cousin and my uncle (my dads brother) my other cousin (the 2 boys belong to my uncle) They are 17 and 16 and stand at 6'4...With my grandma. My uncle is my grandmas son.

So sissy got do her birthday for the first time with family. She is now 9.... man where did the time go?
My son has a major thing with motor cycles. He loves them. We put him on this loud hog and he reached right for the gas. He will own one when he is older... he assured me of that.
So that is all folks. I don't think you all noticed. But I have a sister and her husband that had to go to all of his families houses for Thanksgiving and another brother that was not here. SO today I think we will be taking more complete family pics. I will post more later..... love you all.

So this is the trail that goes up to many places. Very peaceful place to be.
The reason we went out was to look at the foliage in CT.
Bubba, The Man and Sissy climbed as many rocks as they could.

The boys had to go looking for hiking sticks. So we could make it to the top.
Sissy found a stick and off she was going.
SO on the way the boys were very nervous and this was the only spot that Duke was somewhat happy to be in until we let him come to the front.

Okay so nothing to do with out trip but last weekend we carved pumpkins. This is
bubbas version of batman....
So I carved this skull and cross bones. Looks very nice I must say.
Now this one was, (Cover your ears) a bitch. The man and I carved this one together. Very hard work but I must tell you after we lite it up it was worth all the hard we put into it. SO that is all I have to show you right now. Hope you liked our stuff.... see you next time.
Okay so today was a normal day until I noticed that I was running 5 minutes late when I left for work. So I ran out of the house with coffee and a lunch. I was just about to exit I noticed that I had no purse or a badge to get into work. Being I did not want to be late I decided that I would just go without it and try to get into the hospital with out a badge. Then I remembered that I needed my badge to park in a safe place here at work. Damn it. So I had to park on the street.
So as you can see I am parked in Slumville....
I hate Parking here..... You would never know that I work in a nice place at all....
So that is work,..... You could never find me anyway and you would need a damn badge to even get close. So any way I was not late for work as I ran in found someone in security to let me in... damn it. Then I ran home to get the purse and a new cup of coffee. Hey a girl needs energy to run from the ghetto.... So I get all the way back to work and get ready to park in the nice garage and I am out of damn tokens......
Needless to say I am on the street again 2 blocks into the ghetto....Thank god I got more coffee.
So as most of you know my husband
recently got out of the Navy. It has not been 1 year yet and he has decided to go back. Only this time he will be an officer. He has been accepted into Officer school to be a pilot. So today is the day that he will go swear in. Now after he is done with this he will eventually go to
OCS (Officer
candidate school).
This is what he will look like.... only he will have all sorts of ribbons and medals hanging on him. This is going to be very different as before he was an enlisted man. So we will be treading new water as today starts the beginning of our new path. It is all very exciting.
Until you've seen what he will do when he is done with OCS..... Man what a view he will have. Hope he wears a set belt at all times.... Okay so now you know where we will be heading... and it is out of Connecticut.... Thank you Jesus. So we will keep you all posted on the new things as they happen. Have a great day.
